The SAB comprises:

  • Professor Paul Meltzer (NHGRI, NIH, USA).   Professor Meltzer is a paediatric oncologist who leads a large research team with a very strong focus on genomic analysis of breast cancer and sarcoma
  • Associate Professor Sue Hankinson (Harvard Medical School and School Public Health, USA).   Professor Hankinson is an eminent epidemiologist who has had a long involvement in the Boston Nurse's study
  • Dr Anne Hamilton (Sydney Cancer Centre, Australia).   Dr Hamilton provides extensive experience in clinical aspects of the management of ovarian cancer in Australia.   Newly returned from three years in New York, she is not formally associated with AOCS and therefore provides independent review
  • Ms Paula Gurry (Melbourne, Australia). Ms Gurry is an experienced business woman and an ovarian cancer survivor.   Although relatively new to the area of ovarian cancer advocacy and community representation, she provides intelligent and enthusiastic consumer input.

The Scientific Advisory Board reviewed the program over several days at our recent joint AOCS/kConFab scientific meeting.
